INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-
Tyler Mann and Roberto Otero take home honors as Ouachita Tigers Wrestling battle in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship.

The Championship was held in Indianapolis, Indiana and consisted of six duals over two days.
Tyler Mann was named to the Second Team All-GLVC team, and Roberto Otero was named a James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree.

The Tigers started off the Tournament facing Truman in a Round 1 matchup.
Barrett Stickelman and
Robert Otero picked up forfeit victories.
Tyler Mann started conference off right with a Fall at 4:33 against Zach Taylor of Truman.
Justin Villegas followed up Mann with a 9-5 decision over his Truman opponent.
Tanner Hawkins closed it out for Ouachita with a Fall at the 1:00 mark. The Tigers took an 27-10 victory in the matchup.

In the Second and Third round the Tigers faced off with Maryville and McKendree colleges. In the Maryville matchup
Tyler Mann defeated Tanner Sparks with an 8-3 Decision. The Tigers, however, would fall 40-9 in the round. Against McKendree
Michael Billups would step up and defeat his opponent on an 16-12 decision.
Tyler Mann would remain perfect with a Majority 16-5 Decision. McKendree won the match though 42-7.

In matches four and five Ouachita faced Indianapolis and Drury Universities. In the Indianapolis matchup
Tyler Mann continued his domination as he won on a 5-3 Decision.
Augustus Boyd also won is matchup on a 10-6 Decision against Duane Deerwester. Against Drury
Augustus Boyd got his second consecutive win with a 8-2 Decision. In the last round they squared off against Bellarmine and saw
Tyler Mann win his fifth of six matchups.
Augustus Boyd picked up his third straight win, and
Tanner Hawkins closed out the tournament with a 12-0 majority decision.

The Tigers will return to action February 8 at Drury University at 1:00 PM.
