Tigers Capture Win in Bison Double Header

Arkadelphia, Ark. - Tiger Baseball splits wins in the double header against Oklahoma Baptist University on Sunday. The Tigers would come out strong and take the win in game one, while the Bison took the win in game two.
 
In game one, two walked batters with bases loaded would bring in Aaron Studdard and Tyler Riebock to score the first two runs of the game. Then in the bottom of the fourth, Logan Huneycutt would hit a single, which would bring in runners Kade Stuart and Hunter Gautreaux to put up two more runs on the board for the Tigers. Aaron Studdard would score for Ouachita in the bottom of the fourth, with Logan Huneycutt out at second base and Tyler Riebock reaching first with a fielder's choice. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Cade McBride hit a double that brought in Bo Sutton. Again, in the bottom of the fifth inning Ouachita would add to their lead when Kade Stuart would hit a sacrifice fly to right field to bring in Cade McBride.
 
Brandon Matros got the start on the mound for Ouachita. Matros pitched six innings allowing three runs off three hits, and struck out seven batters. Adam Bahloul would pitch the final three innings for the Tigers allowing two runs off two hits, and threw two strikeouts. The Tigers would win game one 7-5.
 
In game two, Oklahoma baptist would start strong putting up three runs in the first inning. Neither team would score, until Ouachita brought in Pierce Mitchum after Logan Huneycutt would be hit by a pitch. Oklahoma Baptist would put the final nail in the coffin for Ouachita putting up another three runs in the top of the sixth inning.
 
Tyler Duck, Noah Fowler, and Tommy Foster combined for six runs off of eleven hits and five total strikeouts on the mound for Ouachita. The Tigers would fall in game two 6-1 to Oklahoma Baptist.
 
The Tigers will return to action in the final game of the series against Oklahoma Baptist tomorrow at noon in Arkadelphia.
