Tigers Send Seniors Out with a Bang

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- Ouachita Baseball honors five seniors before the double header that saw a cluster of hitting causing the Tigers to drop both games to the Reddies.

Senior Adam Bahloul started the first game on the mound for the Tigers. He went 3.1 innings facing 20 batters striking out two and only allowing five hits. Bahloul, after making career start number 37, was relieved by fellow senior Abe Young. Young threw 1.1 innings only allowing one hit and striking out two. The Tiger sent five other pitchers to the mound as they combined to give up 12 runs across three innings. 

Senior Aaron Studdard led off the game for the Tigers in his 170 and 171 games. Studdard drove in two runs on the day, scoring twice himself and drawing three walks. Fellow Senior Bo Sutton started both games in left field during the first and on the mound for the second. Sutton from the plate drove in a run and scored himself three times; from the mound Sutton went four innings only allowing one hit. Jacob Crumpler, the fifth year senior, drew the start in right field for the first game. He went 1-3 on the day, driving in a run and drawing two walks. 

In the first game the Tiger's hitting intelligence was highlighted as the Tigers drew nine hits and 12 walks. Logan Huneycutt went 2-5 at the plate driving in two runs and scoring twice himself. Cade McBride also had a great first game going 2-4 driving in a run and scoring twice himself. The Tigers dropped the game to Henderson with a score of 20-10 after eight innings. 

The second game the Tigers jumped out to four runs in the first innings. Three walks and a hit batter scored a runner and cause the bases to be loaded as Cade McBride came to the plate. McBride sent a double to left field corner as his double cleared the bases and gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead. The Tigers pitcher Noah Fowler and Tyler Duck who combined went for 5 innings only giving up four hits. However, in extra innings the Reddies scored two runs and take the game 6-4.

The Tigers finished the season 20-28 and 13-20 in the Great American Conference. They will continue their great season into the offseason led by Coach Luke Howard who wrapped up his inaugural season.
