Heckman's Hat Trick Propels the Tigers to Victory

WAXAHACHIE, Texas – Ashlyn Heckman's hat trick and Josilyn Kispert's goal carry Tigers to a 4-3 victory over Texas A&M International.

Heckman had a huge day scoring three goals on the day for the first multi-goal game of her career as a Tiger. She started off her day scoring on a penalty kick after a penalty in the box by Izabella Correa. Heckman pushed the ball past the goalie in the bottom left of the net; the goal being a response to A&M's goal to tie the game.

The Tigers scored again just minutes later as Kispert launched it past the goalie on an assist by Sydni Perry. Ouachita continued to put it on as 10 minutes later Gracen Turner passed a ball to Heckman who scored her second goal of the day. The game went into the half with the Tigers up 3-1.

The Dust Devils scored the first goal of the second half on a shot from thirty yards out. The game winning goal came in the 70th minute on a corner by Sydni Perry to Hanna Thompson who sent a pass to Heckman who kicked it off of a defender into the bottom right quarter of the goal. A&M scored once more, but the Tigers held off the Dust Devils to capture the 4-3 win.
