ARKADELPHIA, ARK—Coming off a 42-13 victory over Arkansas Tech in Russellville, the Ouachita Tiger football team will be back at Cliff Harris Stadium to take on GAC opponent, Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers this Saturday, Sept. 21.
 
Last week, Northwestern dropped their home opener against Southeastern 24-15. The Ranger offense had no problems moving the ball, beating Southeastern in passing yards, rushing yards and first downs; however, three costly turnovers, 2 interceptions and a fumble lead to a Southeastern win.
 
Rangers Scouting Report
 
Offense: The Northwestern rushing attack features multiple capable running backs. Jacob Peyton led the rushing efforts against Southeastern with 109-yards on 17 carries. Calion Baker had 60-yards on nine carries but also put up 81-yards in the season opener against East Central. Torrence Steven had 19-yards on 1 carry and the lone Ranger touchdown on the ground.
 
The passing game is led by Trent Easley who is 25 of 58 on the season, averaging 185-yards per game. His favorite receiver is Kentrez Bell whose 2 of his 4 receptions on the year are for 45+ yards.
 
Defense: Linebacker, Maurice Wright recorded 13 tackles, a team high. Linebacker, James Ellis, started in the spot of Dakota Driskill (who had 14 tackles against East Central), and added six tackles, including the first two sacks of the season for the Ranger Defense.
 
Ouachita Look-in
 
Another dominant team effort pushed the Tigers to victory against Arkansas Tech. Quaterback, Brayden Brazeal went 12 of 15 for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Wide Receiver Allie Freeman caught seven of those passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Tucker Swoboda caught 2 passes for 54 yards including a 45-yard touchdown catch and run while his brother, Tight End, Hunter Swoboda caught 1 pass, a 75-yard touchdown.
 
In the backfield, Brocktown Brown tallied two touchdowns on nine carries and 89 yards including a 54-yard touchdown run. Shun'cee Thomas put in 79 yards on 19 rushes and a touchdown. TJ Cole rushed for 24 yards, and Brayden Brazeal rushed for 15.
 
On the defensive side of things, four Tigers put in eight tackles during the game. Keandre Evans and Hunter White led the team, each recording five solo tackles and three more assisted tackles. Jon Johnson and Austin Guymon also got their share in the mix, added eight tackles each. Defensive Lineman, Rico Gonzalez and Dameyun McDonald both put in seven tackles. McDonald also had a sack on the night while LaFoy Smith and Alex Rowe combined for the other sack on the night.
 
Game History
 
The Tigers are 7-0 against Northwestern Oklahoma. Last year, in the season opener, an impressive offensive performance, led the Tigers to a 29-21 victory over the Rangers in Alva, Oklahoma. All time, Ouachita has outscored Northwestern 298-128, the largest margin of victory coming in the first matchup, 55-3.
