Box Score Tyler, Texas – Ouachita Women's Soccer captures their first victory of the season behind an overtime goal by
Ashlyn Heckman in the 94
th minute.
The goal came off of a penalty shot that was awarded to the Tigers after a hand ball on a cross into the box. The goal gives Heckman her second goal in consecutive games and gives the Tigers a 1-1 record on the season.
Ouachita came out aggressive in the game putting in five shots in the first period. In total the Tigers would accumulate 11 shots, five of which being on goal. Heckman accounted for three of those shots, all of which were on goal.
Sydni Perry and
Gracen Turner also added in two shots for the Tigers in the game.
The Tigers were stingy on defense allowing 17 shots but no goals. Senior
Erin Webster played 45 minutes racking in two saves, and Freshman
Michele Snow, playing in her first game as a Tiger, played 49 minutes rejecting seven shots on goal. The Tigers only amassed six fouls being almost doubled by their counterpart who had 11.
