ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers (2-4 GAC, 5-8 Overall) split day two against the Monticello Boll Weevils (4-2 GAC, 6-7 Overall), coming up short in game two 5-3, but pulling out a 7-6 win in game three with a late innings comeback.

Ouachita Pitching
Brandon Matros (0-3) made the start for the Tigers and threw seven innings, his longest stretch this season. Matros allowed two runs on six hits, two walks, and seven strikeouts.
Ben Miller (1-1) relieved Matros for the final two innings and gave up three runs on four hits.
Ouachita Hitting
With the Tigers trailing 2-0, Ouachita answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Blake Tubbs got the Tigers started with a two-out single to center field, before
CW Schrader drew a walk as the next batter.
Hunter Gautreaux picked up an RBI single to score Tubbs before the third out was made.
The Tigers tied the game back up 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Tyler Riebock hit a leadoff single, before he was moved to second on a
Logan Huneycutt walk.
Louis Steen wore a hit-by-pitch and then
Blake Tubbs plated Riebock on a fielder's choice. Schrader tied the game on a sacrifice fly ball to right field that scored Huneycutt for the Tigers third and final run of the game.

Ouachita Pitching
Noah Fowler (0-0) made the start for the Tigers in game three. He threw 1.2 innings of six-hit, five-run baseball and allowed two walks and struck out two batters.
Sheldon McCown (0-0) pitched 1.1 innings in relief and gave up one hit in his outing.
Carter Wade (2-2) earned the win on the mound after striking out two batters on two hits and a run.
Logan Huneycutt (0-1) would earn the save for the final two innings of shutout baseball. He walked one and struck out one.
Ouachita Hitting
In the bottom of the first inning, the Tigers put their first run on the board to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Blake Tubbs hit a two-out double to left field to plate
Louis Steen who doubled in the inning.
Trailing 5-1 in the second inning,
Beau Burson singled to left field and eventually scored on a
Simmons Sowell single to left field. Two innings later in the fourth inning, Ouachita made it 5-3 on a bases-loaded walk from
Logan Huneycutt to score
Beau Burson with two-outs.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Ouachita scored four runs to take the lead for the first time in the game 7-6. With two outs, the Tigers were able to score four runs. Burson hit a double,
Cade McBride walked, and Burris reached on an error to the shortstop to load the bases for Sowell. Sowell hit an infield single to make it a two-run deficit 6-4. On the next pitch, all three players moved up a base on a wild pitch and McBride scored.
Tyler Riebock would hit a two-run single to right field that scored Burris and Sowell that put the Tigers up 7-6. The Tigers never looked back after taking the lead.

- Logan Huneycutt earned his third save of the season.
