Durant, Okla. – The Ouachita Baptist Lady Tigers closed out its season with a 76-55 loss on the road against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
Maija Gertsone led the Lady Tigers with 12 points. Makayla Miller contributed 11.
Katie Branam led the Savage Storm with 23. Katie Webb added 17.
The Lady Tigers came out with energy and efficient offense. Ouachita jumped out to 4-0 lead, but after that the teams traded buckets. To close the first quarter the Lady Tigers went on a 5-0 run to take a 20-16 lead into the second quarter.
The Lady Tigers extended its lead out to 36-24 and Ouachita seemingly held control of the game. Despite the 12-point deficit, the Savage Storm never went away.
Southeastern closed the half on an 8-0 run and the Lady Tigers went into halftime with a 36-32 lead.
Southeastern continued to build upon its offensive momentum in the second half. The Lady Tiger's early second quarter successes was a thing of the past as the Savage Storm outscored Ouachita 25-10 in the third quarter.
Southeastern went into the final quarter with a 57-46 lead.
The Lady Tigers fought hard, but the Savage Storm's lead continued to grow. Southeastern wrapped things up 76-55.
The Lady Tigers finished up the season at 4-24, 1-21 in conference play.
