Men's Swimming Falls Short Against Henderson

The Ouachita Baptist men's swimming team lost Friday night 109-93 to Henderson State at Waggoner Pool. The TigerSharks honored their seniors Friday before the first and only home meet of the 2020-21 season.

Senior Trayton Armstrong picked up the first win of the evening for Ouachita, taking first in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 18:19.28, nearly a full 37 seconds ahead of second place. The TigerSharks went 1-2-3 in the 200 yard individual medley, with Trent Reeder, Jacob Ragsdell and Peyton Stone taking first, second and third place, respectively. Freshman Noah Smith earned a win in the 200 yard butterfly. Jacob Ragsdell took first in the 200 yard backstroke. Freshman Jeff McCoy won the 500 yard freestyle in his collegiate debut.

The TigerSharks and Red Wave are back in action at 1 p.m. Saturday in a rematch across the street.
