In the first cross-town matchup of the 2020-21 men's basketball season, Henderson State defeated Ouachita Baptist 96-67 Monday night at the Duke Wells Center. A pair of junior newcomers led the way for Ouachita, as
Deaveon Bankston and
DJ Kane combined for 36 points on the night.
After falling behind by 28 at halftime, Ouachita showed life with a 12-4 run to start the second period. However, the Reddies were too much in a 29-point victory.
