Ouachita Baptist volleyball opened its long-awaited 2020-21 season Tuesday night with a 3-0 loss at the hands of Arkansas Tech at Sturgis Physical Education Center. Freshman Kayla Steinmeyer and sophomore Karli Ferguson led the Tigers with seven blocks apiece.

Ouachita kept the first set close, never trailing by more than four points in a set that saw 10 ties and eight lead changes. The Golden Suns put more distance between themselves and the home team in the next two sets, taking a 5-0 lead to start the second and an 11-4 lead to start the third. 

Freshman Kellen Church led the Tigers with 17 assists on the night. Junior Lexie Castillow led all players with 17 digs.
