The Ouachita Baptist women's soccer team opened its season in dominant fashion Sunday with a 5-0 win over Ozarks at AllCare Field on the campus of Arkadelphia High School. Senior
Ashlyn Heckman scored two goals and added an assist in the victory.
Madison Humbard started the scoring in the eighth minute, finding the back of the net with an assist from
Jamie Fowler.
Jaymee Dotson added a goal of her own in the 20th off a cross from
Ashlyn Lynch. Heckman dispossessed an Eagle midfielder and beat the keeper in the 41st minute to push the Tiger lead to 3-0 before halftime,
Fowler scored in the 59th minute on an assist from Heckman. Four and a half minutes later, Heckman put the finishing touches on the victory, taking an assist from
Gracen Turner.
Michele Snow faced no shots on goal, as the Tigers prevented any dangerous attacks by the Eagles.
