SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team recorded its sixth consecutive victory and remained undefeated in Great American Conference play with a 1-0 road win over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.
The Tigers (6-1-1, 3-0 GAC) secured the win with a late goal by
Gracen Turner at the 86:11 mark from the assist of
Sydni Perry. It was Turner's second straight game with a goal, and fourth straight game with points. For Perry, it was her third assist of the season.
Saturday's defensive match had only 24 combined shots. The Bison (3-4-1, 2-1 GAC) outshot the Tigers 14-10, including a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Michele Snow, the reigning GAC Goalkeeper of the Week, had seven saves in her fifth complete game shutout of the year.
The Tigers return to Arkadelphia for their next two contests, starting with a matchup with Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, October 7. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Kluck Field.
