PERRY SCORES FOUR GOALS IN ROUT OF SNU

ARKADELPHIA – Alexis Perry scored four goals to lead the Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team to a 7-0 win over Southern Nazarene at home on Thursday.

It was the first individual four-goal performance for Ouachita since Haley Hatcher accomplished the feat in a 5-3 win over Harding on October 17, 2014. Perry ties the Great American Conference single-game record with her four goals, last done earlier this year by Northwestern Oklahoma State's Tiara Campbell.

It was also the first time Ouachita scored seven goals in a game since a 7-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State on October 25, 2013.

After a quiet start to the game, the Tigers (8-3-1, 5-2 GAC) rattled off three goals in the matter of five minutes. The first came in the 25th minute off the right foot of Gracen Turner, her fourth of the season and first of two goals in the game.

The second came just a minute later when Jaymee Dotson set up Perry's first goal of the game to put the Tigers up 2-0.

In the 29th minute, the Tigers went up 3-0 on Perry's second goal, this time assisted by Turner.

The Tigers went up 4-0 at halftime on a last-second long goal by Ashton Inman as time expired, set up by Megan McKay. It was Inman's first career goal at Ouachita.

Ouachita wasted little time to find the net in second half, scoring its fifth goal of the day as a team and the third goal by Perry in the 48th minute. Dotson picked up her second assist of the game.

The sixth goal came in the 59th minute. Jamie Fowler's pass in from the left corner went just over the goalkeeper's hands and found Gracen Turner waiting right in front of the goal for her second score of the game.

Perry tied the GAC single-game record with her fourth goal after breaking free on a pass from Kristen Mann in the 66th minute to put the Tigers up 7-0.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday at home against Oklahoma Baptist. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Kluck Field.
