Jacob Street had a career-high 17 points to lead the Ouachita Baptist University men's basketball team in an 87-55 loss to Minot State on Saturday on the final day of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Great American Conference Crossover Challenge.
Street was 6-for-14 from the field, and scored the bulk of his points on four three-pointers.
As a team, Ouachita (0-2) shot 36 percent from the field (21-for-59), 40 percent on three-pointers (10-for-25), and 43 percent on foul shots (3-for-7).
Minot State (2-0) shot 48 percent from the field (31-for-65), 35 percent on three-pointers (9-for-26), and 84 percent on foul shots (16-for-19).
The Beavers took advantage of Ouachita's 17 turnovers for 19 points off of those miscues.
MSU had five players reach double-digits in scoring, led by Kody Dwyer with 16 points.
Ouachita will have its first countable home game of the season next Friday, November 19 against Ecclesia College. Tipoff is set for 7:30 at Bill Vining Arena.
