ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men's basketball team will be playing for its first win of the season this Friday, November 19, when it hosts Ecclesia College inside Bill Vining Arena.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. immediately following the Ouachita women's game against A&M-Commerce. The Ouachita Sports Digital Network will broadcast the game live on YouTube. Ouachita went 0-2 to start the 2021-22 season this past weekend with losses to St. Cloud State (84-71) and Minot State (87-55) at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Great American Conference Crossover Challenge.
The Tigers enter Friday's game with four players in double-figures in scoring. Ma'Darius Hobson leads the team with an average of 12 points per game, followed by Leon Kalinic (11), Alex Scariolo (10), and Jacob Street (10).
As a team, Ouachita is shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 32.6 percent on three-pointers, and 53.3 percent on foul shots.
Friday's opponent is 5-3 entering Friday's game, most recently posting a 93-73 win over Bible Baptist College on Tuesday. The Royals compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association.
