ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's basketball team has one more game on the schedule before the Christmas break, hosting Arkansas-Monticello this Saturday inside Bill Vining Arena.

Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. The Ouachita Sports Digital Network will broadcast the game live on YouTube. Live stats will also be available. Links can be found at www.OBUtigers.com/coverage. General admission tickets can be purchased upon arrival for $5.

TIGER TRACKS

• The Tigers enter Saturday's game with an overall record of 3-4 and a 1-2 mark in GAC games.
• Ouachita most recently lost to Southern Arkansas last Saturday by a final score of 102-99.
• The Tigers are third in the GAC and eighth in the nation in scoring offense with an average of 82.1 points per game. Defensively, the Tigers are eighth in the league, giving up 73.7 points per contest.
• Ouachita ranks in the top half of the GAC in free throw percentage (5th – 73.9 percent), field goal percentage defense (3rd - 37.3 percent for opponents), three-point field goal percentage defense (1st - 25.9 percent for opponents), offensive rebounds (5th – 41.57 per game), defensive rebounds (2nd – 28.71 per game), three-pointers made (5th – 7.43 per game), and steals (3rd – 11.57 per game).
• Freshman Aspen Thornton leads all of NCAA Division II in scoring with an average of just over 28 points per game. Her lowest game total this season is 17. Her highest was 43 against Arkansas Tech. Of her seven games this season, she has scored at least 20 points in six games, and at least 30 points in three games.
• The Tigers have two others averaging in double-digits in scoring. Junior Makayla Miller is scoring 17.3 points per game, and freshman Laney Mears is at 11.9.
• Claudia Vanzant and Lauren Wright are Ouachita's top rebounders so far this season at 6.9 and 6.7 per game, respectively.

SCOUTING UAM

• The Blossoms enter Saturday's game with an overall record of 0-9 and a 0-3 mark in GAC games.
• UAM went 1-7 last year in the COVID-19 shortened season.
• Most recently, the Blossoms lost at home this past Saturday to Harding by a final score of 73-45.
• Taylor Flores is UAM's leading scorer with an average of 15.2 points per game.
• Since the creation of the GAC in 2011, the Tigers lead the series with UAM 14-8. Most recently, the Tigers beat the Blossoms in the only meeting last season, a 77-51 victory at home.
