Ouachita Baptist battled back to force three ties against Arkansas Tech in the first seven innings Friday before
Pierce Mitchum's home run to right field walked it off in the eighth inning of a scheduled seven-inning contest at Rab Rodgers Field. The Tigers won 4-3, as
Cooper Timmons earned the win in relief.
The Wonder Boys struck first with tallies in the first and third innings. Mitchum's two-run single in the fourth tied the score at 2-2. After a solo homer put Arkansas Tech back in front in the top of the sixth,
Simmons Sowell answered with an RBI single to right in the bottom of the frame.
Mitchum led off the eighth with a home run to right field for his first of the season.Â
