After needing late-inning heroics to win the first end of a doubleheader with Christian Brothers on Wednesday, Ouachita Baptist won by run rule in the nightcap, taking down the Bucs 8-0 in five innings.
Nicole Arreola held CBU scoreless on one hit through five innings.
Ouachita scored two runs in the first inning thanks to a bases-loaded walk and an error. A run-scoring error and an RBI single by
Callie Jourdan plated two more in the second.
Heather Brown drove iin
Kellen Church with a single in the fourth and scored on
Sloane Precure's RBI knock.
Hope Waid doubled down the left field line to plate
Kirsten Shaw in the fourth. An obstruction error led to the game-sealing run in the fifth.Â
