The Ouachita Baptist women's soccer team recorded 17 shots in a 2-1 victory over East Central University in Arkadelphia on Saturday. Seniors
Meagan North and
Ashlyn Heckman provided the goals for the Tigers.
No goals were scored for either team during the first half. Ouachita would strike first though with a goal from
Ashlyn Heckman in the 57th minute, with an assist from North. It would stay a 1-0 game for another 20 minutes until Ouachita would once again find the back of the net with a goal from
Meagan North assisted by
Jaymee Dotson in the 77th minute.
East Central finally found a goal in the 87th minute made by Kaylee Bruce. Ouachita was able to limit East Central to just 2 shots in the second half.Â
MATCH NOTES
- Out of the last five matchups against East Central, Ouachita has won four.
- With Heckman's goal, she has now scored a goal in three straight games.
- Heckman has also scored at least one goal in five of the six games the Tigers have played so far this season.
- North's goal was her first of the season.
