THE RUNDOWN

Ouachita Baptist took a third-inning lead in the second game of Friday's doubleheader, but it would be short-lived in a 5-1 loss at Southwestern Oklahoma State. CW Schrader drove in the lone run for the Tigers.

Schrader singled through the right side to drive home Zach Kuykendall with one out in the top of the third. The Bulldogs answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame and another in the fourth for good measure.

Ouachita managed just one hit after scoring its lone run of the game, as Blake Tubbs singled in the top of the seventh and final inning of the contest.

- Ouachita fell to 4-11 and 3-8 in Great American Conference play
- Schrader raised his season batting average to .298, second-highest on the team
- Luke Scaggs fell to 1-4 on the season, going the distance in the loss.
