THE RUNDOWN
Ouachita Baptist softball defeated Harding 9-3 Saturday to sweep a doubleheader in Searcy.
Madison Miller went 6.2 innings in relief to earn her second win of the day.
After scoring only in the final two innings off Game 1, Ouachita did all its scoring in the first two innings of Game 2. A Harding error led to the first Tiger run.
Lauren Lester drove in a pair with a double before
Callie Jourdan plated a run with a groundout and
Kirsten Shaw plated a run with a single.
Nicole Arreola walked in a run before Miller took over with one out in the bottom of the first to put out the fire. In the top of the second, Miller and Lester each drove in a run with a single before Shaw's two-run base knock gave Ouachita their ninth run of the game.
Miller scattered seven hits across 6.2 innings, allowing just two runs. She earned her fourth victory of the season.
