THE RUNDOWN
Ouachita Baptist baseball lost the first of a three-game series with Arkansas Tech on Thursday at Rab Rodgers Field by a score of 8-3.
CW Schrader and
Pierce Mitchum drove in runs in the losing effort.
Schrader's single to right drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. The Wonder Boys responded with two runs in each of the next two innings and added a tally in the fifth to build a four-run lead. A throwing error led to
Cade Burris scoring the Tigers' second run of the game before Mitchum drove in
Tyler Riebock with a sacrifice fly.
Arkansas Tech scored a run in the seventh and two more in the ninth to pad its lead.
Hayden Childers led off the bottom of the ninth with a six-pitch walk but a double play and a strikeout ended the Ouachita threat.Â
