THE RUNDOWN
Cade Burris hit two home runs, and
Cooper Timmons went the distance as Ouachita Baptist baseball defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State 6-4 in the second game of a doubleheader at Rab Rodgers Field on Saturday.Â
The Savage Storm struck first with a run in the top of the first, but Burris' three-run blast in the bottom of the frame put the Tigers on top. Southeastern tied the game with a two-run home run in the second, but
Louis Steen doubled home the go-ahead run in the third and scored on Burris' second homer of the game.Â
Timmons settled in, allowing one run on two hits in the final five innings. He finished the game with four strikeouts and three walks in the complete-game victory.
