THE RUNDOWN
Ouachita Baptist volleyball ended its season Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss at Arkansas-Monticello in the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament. The Tigers salvaged the third set of the match, but the Cotton Blossoms advanced to take on top-seeded Harding.
After UAM took five out of six points to jump out to a 5-3 lead early in the fourth set, Ouachita responded with a 5-0 run and claimed 11 of 13 points to take a lead it would not relinquish in a 25-14 win to stave off elimination.
The Cotton Blossoms finished off the match with a 25-20 win, taking three of the final four points to advance to the quarterfinal round.
