ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita volleyball opened the Great American Conference portion of its schedule on Tuesday night at home with a 3-0 loss to rival Henderson State.
The Tigers (3-6, 0-1 GAC) struggled with getting through the Reddie front line defense and in serve receive. HSU (8-2, 1-0 GAC) totaled 13 total team blocks (24 assists) and 10 service aces.
Final game scores were 25-21, 25-15, and 25-20.
Ouachita as led by
Emily Low with 10 kills and a .375 hitting percentage.
Kayla Steinmeyer added nine kills. GAC defensive player of the week
Lexie Castillow paced the back line with 16 digs.
Temi Fayiga led the Tigers in assists with 16.
The Tigers are back in action this weekend at home in the Tiger-Reddie Invitational with one match on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and a pair of matches on Saturday at 9 a.m. and noon.
