ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team opened Great American Conference play on Thursday with its fourth consecutive victory, a 1-0 win over Harding at Kluck Field.
The Tigers (4-1-1, 1-0 GAC) also collected its fourth consecutive shutout victory.
Michele Snow had seven saves in the win on seven Harding (2-5, 0-1 GAC) shots on goal.
The lone goal of the match came midway through the first half at the 20-minute mark when a shot from
Jamie Fowler went off the Harding goalkeeper's hands and bounced into the goal.
Gracen Turner picked up the assist.
It was Fowler's second goal of the season and eighth of her four-year career. Turner has now turned in two straight games with the game-winning assist.
The Tigers are on the road for their next two matches to face Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist on September 30 and October 2, respectively.
