BETHANY, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team scored two goals in the second half and held Southern Nazarene to just one shot on goal to beat the Crimson Storm 2-0 on Thursday.
After a scoreless first half, Ouachita doubled its shot total in the second half, resulting in more chances at the net, including goals by
Sophia Valencia in the 60th minute and
Josilyn Kispert in the 71st.
For Valencia, the goal is her first collegiate score. It was Kispert's first goal of the 2022 season, and ninth of her Ouachita career.
Michele Snow defended the net for the full 90 minutes, coming up with the save in SNU's only shot on goal. It was her third shutout of the season, and 13th of her Ouachita career.
The Tigers are back in action on Saturday on the road against Oklahoma Baptist. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. in Shawnee.
