LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – The Ouachita Baptist University wrestling team opened the 2022 season on Tuesday night with a 41-3 loss on the road against NCAA Division I Little Rock.
The lone win for the Tigers came in the 197-pound dual with
Brooks Schrimsher getting the 5-0 decision over Little Rock's Matthew Weinert. It was the second lowest scoring dual of the match.
Ouachita's second-closest dual of the match was in the heavyweight category. Taking on Little Rock's Josiah Hill, Ouachita's
Johnny Green scored a one-point escape to force a 4-4 tie with 1:42 remaining. Hill scored a takedown with 14 seconds remaining and earned another point for riding time to earn the 7-4 win.
