TIGERS EARN 17 WINS AT DRURY OPEN

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Ouachita Baptist University wrestling team combined for 17 wins at the Drury University Open on Saturday.

133: James Anderson made it to the semifinals of the consolation bracket with a record of 2-2, including a win by fall in 1:22 and a 7-0 win by decision. Cole McCartney finished fifth with a 3-2 record, highlighted a win by fall in 5:32, a major decision win of 11-3 and a 6-3 win by decision in the fifth place dual.
149: Alex Pena and Marcel Molu each went 0-2.
157: Jaylon Otero made it to the semifinals of the consolation bracket with a 3-2 record, highlighted by a 9-3 win by decision, a win by fall in 33 seconds, and a major decision win of 15-2.
165: Adrian Salazar-Rivera went 0-2.
174: Terrence Murray made it to the semifinals of the consolation bracket with a 2-2 record, highlighted by a 9-2 win by decision and a major decision win of 13-5.
285: Ouachita had four wrestlers compete in the 285 bracket, led by Donald Paul with two straight wins by fall in the championship bracket. Chandler Cooley went 2-2 with a win by fall in 2:22 and a 5-2 win by decision. Jadon Wilkerson went 2-2 with a win by fall in 3:30 and a 7-1 win by decision. Tyler Gares went 0-2.
