ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Baptist University men's basketball player
Jacob Street scored a career-high 19 points as the Tigers' leading scorer in Tuesday night's 75-63 loss to East Central at home.
Street finished the game 7-for-17 from the field with four made three-pointers. He also led the team in assists with four.
East Central led for all but one possession early in the first half. The black and orange Tigers led by as much as 21 points with six minutes left in the second half. However, the purple and white Tigers fought back to cut their deficit down to 10 with 1:42 remaining.
ECU took advantage of its 44-32 edge in rebounding, specifically its 14 offensive rebounds for 18 second-change points.
In addition to Street's career scoring night,
Tylar Haynes added 18 points and seven rebounds, and
Deaveon Bankston chipped in with 12 points.
Alex Scariolo led Ouachita on the glass with eight rebounds.
Ouachita plays its final home game of the season this Thursday, hosting Southern Arkansas for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff at Vining Arena. Ouachita will honor its seniors prior to game.
