ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Baptist University football player
Joe Couch will be playing for more than just wins during the 2022 season.
When his number is called to handle the punting duties for the Tigers this season, Couch will be "Punting for a Purpose" with hopes of benefiting Group Living, Inc. of Arkadelphia.
Group Living, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in downtown Arkadelphia that provides normalization skills and living assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. Its mission is to help each individual attain the highest level of independence of which he or she is capable.
Couch, a junior from Torquay, Australia, became close with Group Living, Inc. last year during his community involvement efforts, and came up with the idea to help on his own.
For every one of Couch's punts that are downed inside the opponent 20-yard line, Couch has decided to donate $20 of his own money to support Group Living, Inc. Couch's hope is that others will join in with him in donating.
All donations will be handled by Group Living, Inc. There is an online donation platform available at
www.groupliving.org. For information on how to donate by other means, call 870-246-5849.
