SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University men's basketball team wrapped up its Oklahoma road trip with a 79-55 loss to the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist Saturday afternoon.
Ouachita (4-6, 2-4 GAC) started out slow in the first half, falling behind Oklahoma Baptist (7-5, 4-2 GAC) 11-2 over the first four minutes of the contest. Ouachita would begin to climb back into the game, making it just a three-point deficit at the half.
The second half would start with the Tigers scoring on the first possession with a jumper from
Alex Scariolo to cut the Bison's lead to one. But the momentum would stop there for Ouachita as the Bison then got hot. Oklahoma Baptist would outscore the Tigers 49-28 in the second half to give us the final score of 79-55.
The Tigers were led by
Tylar Haynes with 20 points and
Ma'Darius Hobson with 10.
Ouachita will look to bounce back with a three game home stretch coming up, beginning with the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs on Thursday, January 12 at Bill Vining Arena.
