ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's and women's swim and dive teams swept the University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons on Saturday at Waggoner Pool.
The men dominated over UMSL by a score of 146.5 to 87.5.
The women won comfortably over the Tritons by a score of 128-103.
The Tigersharks won 17 out of the 26 total events at the meet.
- Tyler Andruss won the men's 1000 Freestyle with a time of 9:56.93, winning by almost seven seconds.
- Didi Christenson won the women's 50 Freestyle with a time of 24:66. Christenson also won the women's 100 Freestyle with a time of 54.41.
- Abigail Conard won the women's One-Meter Diving with a score of 168.90.
- Rachel Del Angel won the women's 100 Butterfly with a time of 59:19.
- Keilee Holcomb won the women's 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:12.57. Holcomb also won the women's 100 Backstroke with a time of 59.29.
- Bella Howell won the women's Three-Meter Diving with a score of 157.10.
- Anna Phelps won the women's 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:58.15. Phelps also won the women's 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:09.43, winning by three seconds.
- Carson Powers won the men's One-Meter Diving with a score of 239.40. Powers also won the men's Three-Meter Diving with a score of 249.50.
- Sam Ragsdell won the men's 50 Freestyle with a time of 21:59. Ragsdell also won the men's 100 Freestyle with a time of 46.96.
- Miles Schulze won the men's 100 Breaststroke with a time of 57.34.
- The men's 200 Medley Relay squad of Ethan Sparks, Miles Schulze, Elijah Christenson and Sam Ragsdell won with a time of 1:34.67.
- The men's 200 Freestyle Relay squad of David Ware, Ian Redman, Alex Schulze and Fernando Bustillo won with a time of 1:26.30.
29 Tigersharks placed either second or third in their events as well to help lift them to the sweep of the Tritons.
To give credit where credit is due, a USML swimmer set a Waggoner Pool record: Justice Beard won the women's 1000 Freestyle with a pool-record time of 10:26.97.
The Tigersharks will look to stay hot as they host Delta State University on Friday October 20 at Waggoner Pool. The meet will start at 1 p.m.
