TIGERS BLOW PAST BLOSSOMS IN STRAIGHT SETS

MONTICELLO, Arkansas – The Ouachita volleyball team took care of business on the road, sweeping the Cotton Blossoms of the University of Arkansas-Monticello Thursday night to make it three wins in a row for the Tigers.

The Tigers dominated from first serve to last point, only trailing once by just a single point early in the first set.

After letting UAM take the early 4-3 lead, Ouachita woke up and took control, going on a 6-1 run to go up 9-5. From there, it was all Tigers, with Ouachita ending the set on a 6-0 run and a score of 25-12.

Ouachita came out swinging in the first set, taking an early 4-0 lead. The Blossoms tried to cut into the lead late, but it was too much, and the Tigers took set two 25-19.

The third set saw the Tigers again come out hot, taking a commanding 7-1 lead to start. Ouachita used a late 5-0 run to go up 20-9 over UAM, and a 4-0 run ended the set with a score of 25-12 and gave the Tigers a 3-0 sweep.
