BATTLE OF TIGERS SATURDAY IN ADA

ARKADELPHIA – The fifth-ranked Ouachita Baptist University football team is back on the road this Saturday, October 7 to face off against the East Central University Tigers in Ada, Oklahoma.

Saturday's kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Koi Ishto Stadium. The game can be heard on the Ouachita Football Network on affiliate stations across the state of Arkansas starting at 1 p.m. with the pregame show. Links to live audio, streaming video, and live stats can be access at www.OBUtigers.com/coverage.

Ouachita heads back to the Sooner State this weekend, which has been friendly for the Tigers, especially since the creation of the Great American Conference. Since 2011, when Ouachita and eight other schools, including ECU, formed the GAC, the purple Tigers have posted a record of 28-3 in games played in Oklahoma. Ouachita has not lost in Oklahoma since week two of the 2016 season, which was a 45-38 setback in Durant to Southeastern Oklahoma State.

The purple Tigers enter Saturday's game with a 5-0 record and are ranked No. 5 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25 Poll. Ouachita is coming off a 34-7 homecoming victory over Southeastern last Saturday at Cliff Harris Stadium.

ECU carries a 2-3 record into Saturday's game following a 35-28 road win over Arkansas-Monticello this past Saturday.

Ouachita leads the all-time series against ECU 20-5, and holds a 10-1 record over the orange Tigers in the GAC era.
