ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's and women's swim teams split their dual meet against the Oklahoma Christian University Eagles, with the Tigershark men winning 119-115, and the women losing 122-102 in the first home meet of the year.
The Tigersharks had 11 event winners in the meet, they were:
- Kate McCown won the women's 1000 Freestyle with a time of 11:12.89.
- Keilee Holcomb won the women's 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:55.48.
- Jeff McCoy won the men's 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:45.89.
- Anna Phelps won the women's 400 IM with a time of 4:40.88. Phelps also won the women's 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:06.16.
- Elijah Christenson won the men's 200 Butterfly with a time of 1:56.60.
- Tyler Andruss won the men's 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:47.03.
- Abigail Conard won the women's 1-Meter Diving with a score of 173.90 points.
- Carson Powers won the men's 1-Meter Diving with a score of 235.20 points.
- Bella Howell won the women's 3-Meter Diving with a score of 204.05 points.
- Gavin Richardson won the men's 3-Meter Diving with a score of 257.95 points.
Ouachita also had 26 second and third-place finishers in their home-opener meet.
The men won a close one over OC, with the final score being 119-115.
The women kept it close from start to finish, but ultimately fell to the Eagles 122-102.
The Tigersharks will be back in action at Waggoner Pool as they host the Tritons of the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday, October 14.
