ARKADELPHIA – Four student-athletes from the Ouachita volleyball team have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the 2023 season.

Sophomore outside hitter Riley Braziel, sophomore middle Emily Adams, sophomore middle Haley Fairchild, and senior outside hitter Kayla Steinmeyer have all earned the distinction. It is the second time for Steinmeyer to earn the honor and the first for the rest.

Requirements for the honor include having reached at least sophomore academic standing, be a starter or significant contributor on the court, and carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

All four recently were also honored for their athletic achievements during the 2023 season with a spot on the All-Great American Conference honorable mention team.
