ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's swimming and diving team picked up its third win of the season over cross-street rival Henderson State on senior night, taking down the Red Wave by a dominant score of 152-82 Friday night at Waggoner Pool.
Tonight's win marks the third win in a row over Henderson for the Tigersharks, who have now won nine of the last 11 against the Red Wave.
The Tigersharks won a total of nine events, those winners were:
Anna Phelps won three events, the 1000 Freestyle by a margin of 25 seconds with a time of 10:40.95. Phelps also won the 500 Free by a 10 second margin with a time of 5:12.16 and won the 200 Butterfly (2:08.04).
Keilee Holcomb won the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.44. Holcomb also won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:27.37.
Abigail Conard won the 3-meter dive with a score of 199.75 points. Conard also placed second in 1-meter diving with a score of 221.30 points, 0.95 points away from first place.
Jameson Tankersley won the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:13.29.
The 400 Medley Relay squad of

Keilee Holcomb,
Rachel Del Angel, and
Didi Christenson won the event with a time of 4:03.64, winning by almost 15 seconds.
The 400 Free Relay Squad of Del Angel, Stika, Russo and Nordstrom won the event by five seconds with a time of 3:47.39.
Multiple other Tigersharks placed in the top three of events, they were:
- Didi Christenson took second in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 25.11. Christenson also placed second in the 100 Freestyle with a time of54.59, 0.41 seconds out of first.
- Rachel Del Angel finished second in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:11.91.
- Kate McCown placed second in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 11:05.93. McCown also placed second in the 200 Free with a time of 1:58.17 and took second in the 500 Free with a time of 5:22.82.
- The 400 Medley Relay squad of Erin Russo, Torrie Weems, Tiffany Nordstrom, and Kaylee Stika placed second in the event with a time of 4:19.47
- Emma Ballantyne finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.51.
- Sophie Derby placed third in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.63.
- Elise Henderson took third in the 200 Free with a time of 1:57.71. Henderson also placed third in the 500 Free with a time of 5:29.13.
- Bella Howell placed third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 187.25.
- Tiffany Nordstrom placed third in the 200 Back with a time of 2:18.63.
The Tigershark women honored two seniors prior to tonight's meet,
Erin Russo and
Torrie Weems. Russo and Weems have both been big contributors to the Tigersharks during their careers at Ouachita. Their skills and leadership will be missed at Waggoner Pool.
The Tigersharks will be back in action on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3 when they travel to take on the Lady Statesmen of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.
