ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's swimming and diving team earned a 156-81 win over the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian University Friday afternoon at Waggoner Pool.
This was the first dual meet win of the season for Ouachita.
The Tigersharks totaled eight event wins against OC:
Zsombor Bujdoso won the 400 IM with a time of 4:09.71
Elijah Donaldson won the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 229.50 points.
Daniel Meszaros won the 200 Freestyle by more than five seconds with a time of 1:38.64.
Carson Powers won the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 247.35 points.
Sam Ragsdell won both the 50 Free (21.27) and the 100 Free (46.57).
Miles Schulze won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:08.92.
The 200 Freestyle Relay squad of Meszaros,
Michael Higgens, Ragsdell, and
James Savarese won with a time 1:24.37.
In total, the Tigersharks tallied 27 top three finishers across all events to take down the Eagles by the score of 156-81. Oklahoma Christian was ranked No. 14 in the final poll of last season. The 2024-25 polls have not been released.
The Tigersharks will look to keep up the success when they host the Statesmen of Delta State University on Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. in Waggoner Pool.
