POTEAU, Oklahoma – The Ouachita wrestling team put 17 wrestlers on the mat on Saturday at the Viking Open hosted by Carl Albert State College.
The Tigers combined for 39 wins in the event, highlighted by four wrestlers advancing to the third-place bout and one making the semifinals of the championship bracket.

Shad Cano started 3-0 to reach the quarterfinals with a win by fall in 42 seconds and two wins by decision. He finished 3-2 overall for the event.
Justin Shaw went 1-2, including a win by tech fall 16-1 in the consolation bracket.

Seth Cano went 1-2, including a win by 8-2 decision in the championship bracket.
