ARKADELPHIA – It's playoff time for the ninth-ranked Ouachita Baptist University Tigers as they travel to face off against the eighth-ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos this Saturday, November 23.
Saturday's game is set for a 1 p.m. at Chad Richison Stadium on the UCO campus in Edmond, just north of Oklahoma City. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and will also be carried on the Ouachita Football Radio Network, originating at KARN 102.9 in Little Rock and heard on stations throughout the state of Arkansas. The Tigers posted a 10-1 record in the regular season and claimed a share of the Great American Conference championship, which is the seventh GAC crown for Ouachita in the 13-year history of the league. The Tigers are in the NCAA Division II playoffs for the sixth time in program history.
The Bronchos are also 10-1 and outright champs of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. This is the fifth D2 playoffs appearance for UCO and first since 2003.
Ouachita and UCO are meeting for the first time since 1999, when both schools were members of the Lone Star Conference. The first meeting was in 1953, resulting in a 13-0 shutout for the Tigers. UCO holds a 3-1 series advantage.
The winner of Saturday's game between the Tigers and Bronchos will travel to Big Rapids, Michigan to face the No. 1 seed from Super Region 3 Ferris State on November 30.
