LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – The Ouachita wrestling team opened the 2024-25 season on Sunday afternoon with a pair of Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association duals at the Jack Stephens Center on the University of Arkansas Little Rock campus.
The 25th-ranked Tigers started with a 42-4 loss to sixth-ranked Nebraska Kearney before falling to Central Missouri 29-12.
Jimmy Anderson highlighted Ouachita's individual performances with a pair of victories in the 133 matchups, taking down UNK's Caleb Coyle by a 10-0 major decision and then getting a late pin over UCM's James Wright for a win by fall in 6:06.
The Tigers will have their home opener this Wednesday, November 6 against Carl Albert State before traveling to Poteau, Oklahoma next weekend for the Viking Open.
