TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma – The Ouachita men's soccer team wrapped up its weekend trip to Oklahoma with a 2-1 loss to Northeastern State on Saturday.
After a defensive battle that was scoreless in the first half and the early part of the second half, the Riverhawks (1-3-3) struck first with a goal in 62nd minute and then added a penalty kick goal 10 minutes later.
The Tigers (1-4-1) rallied back to score in the 78th minute on a penalty kick goal by
Alexis Murillo, his second goal of the season.
NSU controlled the offensive attack with a 24-5 lead in total shots, including a 10-4 lead in shots on frame, and a 9-0 lead in corner kicks.
Ouachita plays its final non-conference game of the season next Tuesday, October 1 on the road against Central Baptist. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Conway.
