ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's swimming and diving team earned a commanding 146-55 win over the Montevallo Falcons on Wednesday night at Waggoner Pool.
The Tigershark women tallied 10 event wins over the course of the 11-event meet to earn the 91-point victory.
Anna Phelps racked up three wins on the night after taking first place in the 100 Butterfly by less than a second with a time of 58.54, the 200 Freestyle by over three seconds (1:58.66), and the 500 Freestyle by five seconds (5:21.36).
Kate McCown picked up two wins, taking first in the 100 Freestyle by half a second with a time of 56.26 and winning the 1000 Freestyle by 22 seconds with a time of 11:04.16.
Didi Christenson won the 50 Freestyle by 0.76 seconds with a time of 25.60.
Keilee Holcomb won the 200 IM by over five seconds with a time of 2:13.83.
Kasie Lopez won the 100 Breaststroke by almost three seconds with a time of 1:09.47.
The 400 Medley Relay squad of
Jameson Tankersley, Holcomb,
Rachel Del Angel, and
Britta Andruss won the event by more than two seconds with a time of 4:03.11.
The 200 Freestyle Relay squad of Andruss,
Sophie Derby, Del Angel, and Holcomb won by more than five seconds with a time of 1:41.10.
In total, the Tigersharks racked up 24 top three finishes and 30 top five finishes in route to their 146-55 victory.
The Tigersharks will be back in the pool next week taking on cross-street rival Henderson State on Friday, January 25 in Waggoner Pool at 5 p.m. for senior night.
