SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The 21st-ranked Ouachita men's swimming & diving team went on the road this past weekend to compete up in classification, resulting in a 222-122 loss to Missouri State.
The Tigersharks brought a select squad to Springfield to take on the Bears in the two-day dual. The loss was the first for the squad since 2023, snapping a streak of 15 consecutive wins in dual competitions.
Senior
Sam Ragsdell finished second in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events. Sophomore
Gabriel Palomino finished second in one-meter diving.
Lucas Cagle came in second in the 100-yard backstroke, followed closely by teammate
Justin Oulette.
Mikhail Lymar was a close second in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events.
Tyler Andruss was second in both the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle races.
Anthony Paculba came in second in the 200-yard breaststroke.
The Ouachita 200 and 400 free relay teams and the 200 medley relay squad all came in second.
The Tigersharks are back home for their next two meets. Up next is Truman State this Friday, October 24 starting at 3:30 p.m. at Waggoner Pool.
