ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's swimming & diving team got back in the win column on Friday with a 184-52 victory over Truman State at home.
David Ware, the 400-yard freestyle relay team, and
Carson Powers were the highlights for the Tigersharks.
Ware set a pool record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.57 in a race dominated by Tigersharks. The top six in the event all sported a Tiger head on their caps, including
Ian Redman Aguilar in second at 50.06 and
Vince Pal in third at 50.87.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of
Sam Ragsdell,
Vince Pal,
James Savarese, and
Ian Redman Aguilar also set a pool record with a time of 3:01.8. The Ouachita B team came in second in the event at 3:04.08, comprised of
Mikhail Lymar,
Tyler Andruss,
Stefan Duca, and
Blayz Hood.
Carson Powers came in first in both diving events, and earned his first NCAA qualifying cut on the 3-meter board with a final score of 275.1. On the 1-meter board, he led the way 285.38.

The Tigersharks now prepare for their first conference dual of the season, which is November 8 at home starting at 10 a.m.
