RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Ouachita senior
Courtney Hanson has been named the Great American Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for the third consecutive week.
The honor is Hanson's 12th of her Ouachita career, and it comes after leading the Tigers to their fifth consecutive undefeated week including a sweep over Southern Nazarene and a five-set win over Oklahoma Baptist, both at home.
Hanson led the league once again in assists (91) and assists per set this past week (11.38). The Arlington, Texas native started with 38 assists, six digs, five kills, and three blocks in the sweep over the Crimson Storm. The next day against the Bison, Hanson reached the 50-assist mark for the first time this season and racked up big on defense with a final match total of 53 assists and 24 digs.
Ouachita is now 21-3 overall and a perfect 11-0 in GAC matches. The Tigers are back in action this Thursday, October 30 at home against Southern Arkansas. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
