ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita volleyball team had production from 14 different players in a three-set Great American Conference victory on Thursday night at home over Arkansas-Monticello.
Final set scores were 25-15, 25-22, and 25-16. The Tigers improve to 23-4 overall and 13-1 in GAC matches. The Blossoms drop to 3-22 and 0-14.
Offensively in the win, eight different Tigers accounted for at least 3.5 points, led by
Riley Braziel's double-double effort of 10 kills and 10 digs to go along with two blocks and one ace to represent 12.5 of Ouachita's 59 points scored in the match. It was Braziel's sixth consecutive double-double and 10th overall this season.
True freshman
Sophie Henry came off the bench and turned in eight kills on a .500 hitting percentage and recorded three blocks to account for 10.5 points.
Emily Adams finished with seven kills and no errors on 16 swings for a .438 percentage. She also totaled four blocks in the win to give her nine points.
Haley Fairchild was next with five kills and a match-high five blocks for 8.5 points.
Kailey Thedford had six kills.
Leah Gardner and
Margaret Addison Scott each had four kills.
Savannah Whitaker finished with three kills and nine digs.
Courtney Hanson and
Mack Bidwell split time at setter. Hanson finished with 29 assists and seven digs. Bidwell totaled a career-high 15 assists.
Kylie Kisgen turned in a match-high 19 digs.
The Tigers are off for the weekend and are back at home for the final time of the season on Tuesday, November 11 against Arkansas Tech for Senior Night. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
