ARKADELPHIA – Oklahoma Baptist made 19 three-pointers to beat Ouachita 91-76 on Sunday in Great American Conference women's basketball action.
Ouachita turned in its second-best shooting performance of the season, finishing at 57 percent from the field (30-for-53), but the Bison shooting from distance proved to be too much for the Tigers to keep pace with. The Bison finished at 45 percent overall (30-for-66) and 49 percent on threes (19-for-39).
The Bison led by as much as 26 points to start the fourth period, but the Tigers rallied to trim that deficit down to 12 with just over two minutes remaining.
Abbey Harrison turned in a career-high 24 points in the game on an 11-for-12 shooting performance. It was her first career 20-point game.
Laney Mears added 17 points and a team-high three assists.
Madeleine Tipton tallied 12 points and a team-high five rebounds.
Heidi Robinson and
Brooke Smith each scored eight points in the game.
The Tigers are set to wrap up the regular season next week with a road game on Thursday against Southern Arkansas and a home game on Saturday against Arkansas-Monticello for Senior Day.
